SCG Cleanergy joins hands with Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization to promote greenhouse gas and carbon credit market management by developing platforms for electricity from clean energy and carbon credit trading.

Mr. Attapong Sathitmanotham, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Cleanergy — a service provider of integrated solar energy production and distribution for real estates, factories, department stores, hotels — and Mr.Kiatchai Maitriwong, Executive Director of Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) or TGO signed in the Memorandum of Understanding for the collaboration “to promote and reinforce the operation regarding Carbon Credit from Greenhouse Effect Reduction Project” by SCG Cleanergy Co., Ltd. under the certification system of Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization)” to further develop user-friendly platforms for electricity from clean energy and carbon credit trading.

Under the collaboration, SCG Cleanergy is going to be a major organization providing preparatory support — in relation to Voluntary Greenhouse Gas Reduction Project according to Thailand’s standard (T-VER) and carbon credit trading for data exchange, transaction and electricity from circular energy trading. The company will also operate businesses regarding electrical network for the Third Party in the form of Third Party Access (TPA), assist TGO’s carbon registration system development so that it is capable of connecting and exchanging carbon credit on SCG Cleanergy platforms — with the support of TGO in terms of academic techniques in assessing the greenhouse gas reduction quantity, data for tool development, methods for calculation of greenhouse gas reduction. In addition, the company will foster carbon registration system development in response to Carbon Credit Trading Platform for data exchange and trading — to propel entrepreneurs in Thailand toward achieving the goal of Net Zero Carbon Emission in accordance with ESG direction.
