SCIeco Partners with UACE to Pursue Low-Carbon Green Business in Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF3) Production Investment Project in Indonesia

Mr. Wisut Chongcharoenkij, Executive Director of SCI Eco Services Co., Ltd. (SCIeco) (3rd from right), Mr. Kitti Jivacate, Chairman of UAC Energy Co., Ltd. (UACE) (3rd from left), and Mr. Widiyo Buntoro, Executive of PT Terang Hidup Energy (THE), signed a joint venture agreement for PT Cahaya Yasa Cipta (CYC). SCIeco holds a 10% stake in the venture, alongside two co-investors: UAC Energy Co., Ltd. (UACE), a subsidiary of UAC, and PT Terang Hidup Energy (THE), holding 60% and 30% stakes respectively.

PT Cahaya Yasa Cipta (CYC) is a producer of Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF3), following the “Turn Waste to Value” concept. The facility has a production capacity of 150 tons per day, processing fresh waste and landfill waste from communities. This operation helps dispose of 300 tons of waste daily or approximately 110,000 tons annually, replacing 70 tons of coal usage per day. As a result, it reduces overall carbon emissions by 30,000 tons of carbon per year. The produced RDF3 will be supplied to nearby cement plants, such as PT SEMEN JAWA, a subsidiary of SCG.

This partnership not only strengthens business alliances in Indonesia but also aligns with ESG principles, promoting green business practices and advancing towards a low-carbon society.
