SCGD Bolsters Strength by Uniting Production Bases and Sourcing Network Across ASEAN, Supplying 7,000 High-Quality Items of Tiles, Sanitary Ware, and Surface Materials, Aiming for Over 30 Billion Baht in Sales This Year, Guaranteed by the No. 1 Brand

SCGD integrates production bases in Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia to enhance regional business sourcing efficiency and bolster its product line with approximately 7,000 items of tiles, sanitary ware, and surface materials for the ASEAN market. This strategy ensures customer confidence as the No. 1 brand in every country, guaranteed by high-quality products that meet all lifestyle needs. The goal for this year is to increase total sales to more than 30 billion Baht.

Numpol Malichai, Chief Executive Officer and President of SCG Decor Public Company Limited, or SCGD, revealed that one of SCGD’s key strategies to boost its competitive edge is the management of the supply chain from production bases within the region. This strategy aims to fulfill product diversity based on customer needs and enhance cross-selling and joint business sourcing. The target is set to increase SCGD’s total sales to more than 30 billion Baht in 2024.

One of SCGD’s strengths in production is its comprehensive manufacturing base in Vietnam, which encompasses the entire process from upstream raw material production through the manufacturing process to packaging. This capability allows the company to maintain excellent control over the process, including costs, volume, and quality of raw materials, ensuring that SCGD’s products maintain high quality at competitive prices in the market. Currently, SCGD aims to use its production base in Vietnam as an export hub. Recently, the amount of ceramic tiles exported from Vietnam’s production base accounted for approximately 40% of all ceramic tiles SCGD exports for sale in ASEAN.

Numpol added, “The company plans to establish a joint sourcing base for tiles and surface materials, as well as a sourcing base for sanitary ware and faucets in China to strengthen cost competitiveness and diversify the product range to fulfill customer demands. This year, SCGD expects to import approximately 7,000 items of tiles, sanitary ware, and surface materials into both domestic and international markets. This includes importing about 20 million square meters of tiles and surface materials from China, India, Italy, and Spain, marketed under brands such as COTTO, LT by COTTO, SOSUCO, Campana, Prime, Mariwasa, and KIA, which are strong brands in each country, guaranteed by quality and long-standing trust. Currently, the company is the No.1 importer of ceramic tiles in the country, so it can confidently be said that SCGD can offer a diverse range of products that meet customer needs at all levels. Through SCGD’s strategy of integrating production base collaboration across countries and creating a joint sourcing network, we will enhance production efficiency, cost management, revenue generation capabilities, and profitability potential, reinforcing our leadership in the comprehensive business of surface decoration and sanitary ware in ASEAN.”
