SCG has been selected for the highest level “SET ESG Ratings” at AAA level for 2024 by the Stock Exchange of Thailand. This reflects their business operations’ consideration of responsibilities toward all stakeholders while participating in environmental and social responsibilities through good corporate governance (Environmental, Social, and Governance: ESG). This aligns with sustainable investment trends through green innovations, ready to drive economic, social, and environmental growth together.
SCG has been focusing on increasing competitiveness by developing green product innovations that continuously respond to eco-conscious customer trends following the Inclusive Green Growth approach. This creates business advantages, develops high-value green innovations, and reduces carbon dioxide in production processes. Examples include Generation 2 Low-Carbon Cement which continues to receive positive feedback, eco-friendly housing solutions like “CPAC Small Mixed Truck” suitable for construction in limited spaces and helping reduce noise pollution, “CPAC Low-Carbon Concrete” helping reduce PM 2.5 dust problems, as well as eco-friendly plastic SCGC GREEN POLYMER™ showing continuous growth. Additionally, they are advancing in clean energy business with “Thermal Energy Storage Battery from Clean Energy” – Rondo Heat Battery.
Since 2015, the Stock Exchange of Thailand has created the “THSI (Thailand Sustainability Investment)” list, which includes stocks of listed companies operating sustainably with consideration for the environment, social responsibility, and governance (Environmental, Social and Governance: ESG). This serves as an alternative source of information for investors’ decision-making. In 2023, the Stock Exchange renamed the “THSI (Thailand Sustainability Investment)” list to “SET ESG Ratings” and announced assessment results in ESG Ratings format for the first time to provide investors with information for investment decisions.
