SCG Named No.1 ESG Industry Top Rated 2024, Leading in Sustainability

SCG, a global leader in sustainability, has been recognized as the ESG Industry Top Rated 2024 by Morningstar Sustainalytics, securing the No.1 position out of 125 companies in the Industrial Conglomerate category worldwide as of 17 January 2024. This ranking underscores SCG’s outstanding performance in global sustainability, driven by innovations and green solutions aligned with the ESG 4 Plus strategy (Net Zero – Go Green – Reduce Inequality – Embrace Collaboration Plus Trust and Transparency.)

SCG has established a target to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This ambitious goal is part of its commitment to mitigate the impacts of the global boiling crisis, facilitated by the accelerated development of innovations and solutions tailored to global megatrends. These solutions are designed to deliver customers convenience, safety, value, and environmental friendliness. Notable examples include Low Carbon cement, green polymers, and bio-compostable packaging. In parallel, SCG is forging collaborations with world-renowned experts across various industries to develop low-carbon innovation. This includes a partnership with Rondo Energy to develop Heat Battery storage technology using clean energy, addressing the needs of the low-carbon industry.
