SCG Bangsue headquarter opens as “COVID-19 vaccination unit”,assisting government for rapid, widespread vaccination

SCG opens its Bangsue headquarters as the “COVID-19 vaccination unit” to support the government for rapid, widespread, and efficient vaccination. Also, equipment, personnel, budget, and location are provided to accommodate 2,000 visitors per day, expecting to commence in June 2021.

The Subcommittee on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Administration of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) meeting has approved to set up the COVID-19 vaccination unit. SCG, among the 14 sites, has been selected, for the readiness in location, accessibility, and being close to the Bangsue MRT. Moreover, the landscape is flat, extensive, open, and has good ventilation. This is coupled with the medical team of doctors, nurses, and volunteers who can provide prompt and convenient vaccination for visitors. Furthermore, SCG is donating equipment and budgets to welcome 2,000 visitors per day. This will contribute to easier access and safe vaccination for the public that shall reduce contagion from commuting across areas.

The Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand together with leading organizations are supporting the government for the vaccination and its distribution. Bangkok is to become a pilot city for 14 COVID-19 vaccination units at the following 1) SCG 2) Central Ladprao 3) Samyan Mitrtown 4) Thanya Park 5) True Digital Park 6) Asiatique 7) The Mall Bangkapi 8) Robinson Ladkrabang 9) Lotus’s Minburi 10) Central Pinklao 11) Iconsiam 12) PTT station, Rama 2 branch 13) The Mall Bangkae and 14) Big C Bangbon.
