In August 2024, ZiFiSense Asia Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Pitsanu Ploysri, Chief Executive Officer, and Smart TTC Public Company Limited, led by Mr. Krittee Boonsongkroh, Managing Director, signed a cooperation agreement. The project aims to develop electricity meters supporting ZETA Protocol wireless communication and meeting the standards of the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) for efficient use.
This collaboration between SCG’s Cement and Building Materials Business, represented by ZiFiSense Asia, and Smart TTC is part of the country’s development towards Technology 5.0. It begins by implementing IoT technology to facilitate consumers’ daily lives, with the goal of allowing all consumers to instantly check their household or business electricity consumption in real-time, anytime and anywhere. This enables efficient electricity usage planning and helps maximize cost savings.
Mr. Pitsanu Ploysri, Managing Director of ZiFiSense Asia Co., Ltd., said, “Today marks the beginning of elevating household electricity consumption monitoring using ZETA’s LPWAN 2.0 signal transmission technology. This will assist in receiving and sending electricity usage data from households and industries nationwide in real-time. It will also help improve the stability of the electricity authorities’ power distribution system, allowing them to identify and promptly address power outages. ZETA is currently the longest-range LPWAN technology and supports signal expansion through Repeaters. This Mesh LPWAN system, which provides long-distance connectivity with low power consumption, is widely used in building management and industrial plants in Thailand due to its long-range signal transmission and ability to expand signals in weak coverage areas. This results in lower costs compared to other systems in the market. ZiFiSense Asia hopes to have the opportunity to introduce ZETA technology as part of helping develop Thai businesses.”
