SCG, in collaboration with 12 strategic partners, has launched the Net Zero Accelerator Program (NZAP 2025) to guide participants, particularly SME entrepreneurs and government executives, toward a low-carbon society while enhancing their competitive capabilities. Since January, 106 participants have engaged in intensive training, expert consultations, and site visits to environmentally friendly processes and technologies. Recently, participants presented academic papers on SME adaptation to low-carbon economies and received their program completion certificates.
Mr. Thammasak Sethaudom, President & CEO of SCG, stated: “Global warming has increased worldwide demand for environmentally friendly products and services. However, environmental protection must occur simultaneously with competitive enhancement. SCG has therefore partnered to create the NZAP program following our Inclusive Green Growth approach, enabling SME entrepreneurs to strengthen competitiveness, drive business growth, and collectively progress toward Net Zero targets.”

Mr. Chana Poomee, Chief Sustainability Officer of SCG, explained: “This program is specially designed as an experiential learning opportunity with hands-on practice, network building, and expert guidance. The organizers anticipate that participants will apply this knowledge to advance their businesses toward a low-carbon society.”

Mr. Wiwat Hemmondharop, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries and program co-organizer, commented: “This program facilitates valuable interaction between public and private sectors, fostering mutual understanding while benefiting from expert guidance. This has aligned everyone’s perspective on the country’s development direction.”
Dr. Nilsuwan Leelarasamee, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries and an honorary academic advisor for participants’ papers, observed: “Participating entrepreneurs have demonstrated remarkable capability and understanding regarding carbon reduction strategies for climate change mitigation. This indicates the program’s potential to effectively facilitate the transition to a low-carbon society.”
Dr. Norapat Leetheerachot, President of Prachuap Fruit Canning Company and program participant, shared: “The knowledge gained from instructors, adaptation perspectives from fellow participants, and insights shared by large corporations have enabled entrepreneurs to develop themselves more systematically.”
The Net Zero Accelerator Program (NZAP 2025) focuses on enhancing competitive capabilities while addressing global warming challenges. The program attracted significant interest from SMEs and government agencies, from which 106 suitable candidates were selected based on their ability to implement knowledge and networks into organizational policies. Training sessions were conducted every Friday, complemented by domestic site visits between January and March, alongside group discussions and academic paper development under expert consultation.

Program partners include the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Industry, Department of Climate Change and Environment, Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking, Thai Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Thai Industries, Thai Bankers’ Association, Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion, International Chamber of Commerce Thailand, and Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization.
