SCG Unites All Sectors to Accelerate Transition to a Low-Carbon Society, Organizes ESG Symposium 2024 Under the Concept “Driving Inclusive Green Transition”

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) predicts a 66% chance that global temperatures will rise by 1.5 degrees Celsius by 2027. This global warming severely impacts society and the environment, leading to ecosystem degradation and resource scarcity in energy, water, food, housing, and health issues. It’s time for everyone to urgently seek solutions. SCG is collaborating with all sectors to organize the ESG Symposium 2024 under the concept “Driving Inclusive Green Transition” to find solutions and take action against the global warming crisis by accelerating the transition to a low-carbon society.

Event highlights include panel discussions featuring Thai and international experts sharing ideas and experiences for practical application, such as:

  • Using technology for energy savings and efficient renewable energy use (Energy Transition)
  • Maximizing the use of renewable resources (Circular Economy)
  • Supporting SMEs and various sectors with resources, especially funding, knowledge, and technology, to prepare for the transition to a low-carbon society (Just Transition)
  • Developing technology to support carbon dioxide reduction (Technology for Decarbonization)
  • Sustainable management of the entire packaging system (Sustainable Packaging Value Chain)

Additionally, there will be an exhibition simulating life in a Low Carbon City, featuring the Saraburi Sandbox, Thailand’s first low-carbon city model.

Join in accelerating solutions to the global warming crisis by “changing fast” in our lives and operations across all sectors to:

  • Create a better life, increasing opportunities for good, convenient, and valuable living
  • Create business opportunities for long-term Green Growth
  • Create a Green world through collaboration from all sectors

The ESG Symposium 2024 will be held on September 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM at SX Grand Plenary Hall, G Floor, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
