SCG Smart Living advances its mission to create a sustainable society in line with SCG’s approach by participating in the Sansiri Sustainable Home – Prototype 1 project, a residential development focused on sustainability and quality of life that creates no negative impact on people or the environment. Sansiri has selected SCG’s eco-friendly STAY COOL thermal insulation product, an innovative cool home solution (Cooliving Design) that reduces temperature and reflects heat radiation, keeping homes comfortable even in Thailand’s hot climate.
The SCG STAY COOL thermal insulation is an eco-friendly glass fiber insulation manufactured from 100% recycled clear glass bottles. It has received the highest safety certification for health according to European standards from EUCEB (European Certification Board for mineral wool products), making it the first in ASEAN to achieve this recognition. The product can prevent and reflect heat radiation from roof cavities entering homes through ceilings, reducing temperatures by 1-4 degrees Celsius. This results in air conditioning electricity savings of up to 47%, helping reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 420 million kilograms over the past 15 years, equivalent to planting 29 million trees. The product is environmentally certified with Green Choice, High Energy Efficiency, and Carbon Footprint labels, supporting the transition toward low-carbon housing.

The Sansiri Sustainable Home-Prototype 1 features four innovative aspects designed with residents and the environment as primary considerations:
Health and Well-being Design creates a dust-free home through air filtration innovation and positive pressure disinfection systems that prevent dust and pollution from entering the house. The design incorporates Zero VOC safe materials that do not emit harmful volatile compounds affecting respiratory systems and resident health.
Cooliving Design employs natural design principles considering climate direction, sunlight, wind and rain patterns. Special materials are selected to reduce temperature and reflect heat radiation, maintaining home comfort even in Thailand’s hot climate.
Resource Efficiency includes solar energy system installation that reduces electricity consumption by up to 83% according to building energy efficiency assessment programs. An intelligent water management system can treat up to 12,450 liters per month for reuse in plant watering and exterior cleaning. These technologies enable residents to achieve significant long-term savings on electricity and water costs.

Green Materials utilize over 70% environmentally friendly materials across architecture, interior decoration, and systems work. All supplier purchases must consider sustainable production processes.
This collaboration combines the strengths of SCG, represented by Jiraphaa Nualuthai, Housing Material Component Product Manager from Housing Product Solution Business, SCG Smart Living Business, along with executives from Sansiri and Green Partners. The partnership demonstrates commitment to developing environmentally friendly residential projects while prioritizing improved quality of life for residents through health, comfort, and long-term value benefits that address the lifestyle needs of environmentally conscious new generations.
