SCG Launches Entrepreneurship Course for Low-Carbon Society Transition to Enhance Competitive Opportunities and Address Climate Crisis

Recently, SCG launched the Net Zero Accelerator Program 2025 (NZAP 2025), a course designed in collaboration with partners to help entrepreneurs and government executives enhance their competitive capabilities and drive businesses and organizations towards Net Zero goals. The program will run until March at SCG’s headquarters in Bang Sue.

Dr. Chana Poomee, Chief Sustainability Officer, SCG, stated, “SCG follows an inclusive green growth approach aimed at sustainable growth for all sectors. We have various projects to help SME entrepreneurs transition to a low-carbon society, including the NZAP 2025 course, which is specially designed for hands-on learning, network building, and expert guidance.”

Montri Mahaphruekphong, NZAP Course Director, explained, “The course has received excellent support from government and private sector partners, including guest lecturers, experts providing academic feedback, and course promotion. We’ve selected 109 participants from entrepreneurs and government agencies who can apply the knowledge and network to develop organizational policies. The program runs every Friday until March, including domestic site visits, with group academic document preparation and expert consultation to ensure practical problem-solving.”

The NZAP 2025 focuses on:

  • Improving profits
  • Reducing costs
  • Addressing global warming
  • Understanding Thailand’s policy directions
  • Carbon market mechanisms
  • Climate change laws and regulations
  • Successful Net Zero implementation examples
  • Accessing funding sources
  • Building cooperation networks between public and private sectors

Key partnership organizations include multiple ministries, government agencies, and business associations such as the Ministries of Agriculture, Natural Resources, Interior, Climate Change and Environment, Joint Private Sector Committee, Thai Chamber of Commerce, Thai Industrial Federation, Thai Bankers’ Association, Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion, International Chamber of Commerce Thailand, and Greenhouse Gas Management Organization.
