SCG won six awards at the Stock Exchange of Thailand’s SET Awards 2022 for its excellence in corporate sustainability and innovation creation. The awards are presented to recognize, celebrate, and instill a sense of pride in listed companies and those involved in the capital market, which reflects the strength and sustainability of the Thai capital market.
SCG was represented at the “SET Awards 2022” by Yuttana Jiamtragan, Vice President – Corporate Administration of SCG, Narongpand Lisahapanya, Investor Relations Director, and Venus Asavasitthithavorn, Director of Enterprise Brand Management Office. SCG received awards in two categories: the Sustainability Awards of Honor for the 5th consecutive year for conducting business operations following sustainable development practices with accountability for stakeholders in mind and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) to effectively develop businesses toward sustainability and maintain their excellence in multiple aspects for at least three years; and the Outstanding Investor Relations Awards, which recognize listed companies that excel in carrying out investor relations activities. These activities include enhancing the potential to deliver valuable, high-quality business information and enhancing the effectiveness of communication channels with analysts, investors, and shareholders.
SCGP, led by Wichan Jitpakdee, CEO of SCG Packaging Public Company Limited, received two prestigious awards: the Best Innovative Company Awards for innovation in nanocellulose fibers for the paper packaging industry, and the Best Sustainability Awards, which are presented to listed companies whose business practices conducted following excellent sustainable development practices and good corporate governance, taking all into account to ensure business economic growth alongside balanced social and environmental development. This award serves as a model for other listed companies, encouraging them to operate their businesses under sustainability practices in a broader sense.
Additionally, SCG Ceramics Public Company Limited, led by Kitiphot Sitilertpisan, CEO, received the Sustainability Excellence Award in the Rising Star Sustainability Award category for listed companies with a market capitalization exceeding 10,000 million baht but not exceeding 30,000 million baht. Siam Global House Public Company Limited, led by Witoon Suriyawanakul, CEO, received the Sustainability Excellence Award in the Rising Star Sustainability Award category for listed companies with a market capitalization exceeding 30,000 million baht but not exceeding 100,000 million baht.
The SET Awards are prestigious awards that reflect the commitment, dedication, and physical and mental strength of people in the capital market community who create quality work and bring meaningful changes to society, and are recognized as exemplars for other businesses. The awards help to raise standards and create long-term economic and social growth for the country.
