SCG, as an “Organization of Possibilities”, empowers individuals to unleash their potential, transforming ideas into reality, developing world-class innovations, and fostering collaborations across all sectors. The goal is to create impactful green innovations with low carbon emissions, driving inclusive growth in a low-carbon society with improved quality of life, economic growth, and environmental sustainability, leaving no one behind. In 2024, SCG has allocated 10 billion baht to develop low-carbon production processes and green innovations.

  • SCG supports employees to become entrepreneurs through the “ZERO TO ONE by SCG” startup program, equipping participants with skills in customer understanding, problem-solving, product development, and market expansion using tools like Design Thinking, Generative AI, and Data Analytics. Over 800 participants have joined, resulting in 100 startups, such as:
    • Wake Up Waste: A platform using garbage compacting trucks to enhance waste management efficiency.
    • Dezpax: Thailand’s first online packaging platform for restaurants, food delivery, and cafes
  • SCG also runs the “SCG Young Talent Program”, a 13-week bootcamp for students from all disciplines to co-create digital innovations addressing future trends. More than 850 young talents have participated.
  • SCG encourages employees at all levels to propose ideas, fostering an “Open & Challenge” culture that embraces learning, self-development, and innovation.

  • SCG works with public and private sectors and civil society to build a sustainable low-carbon society. Projects include the Saraburi Sandbox, Thailand’s first low-carbon city model, paving the way to Net Zero.
  • For 2024, SCG has allocated 10 billion baht to develop low-carbon processes and green innovations, such as:
    • Low-carbon cement and concrete for environmentally-friendly construction.
    • SCG Smart Living offering sustainable building materials and technologies like SCG Solar Hybrid Solutions and Air Scrubber systems for efficient energy use.
    • SCG Décor: Innovations in home design, such as COTTO Clay Décor and eco-friendly faucets using energy-efficient production processes.

Advancing Sustainable Lifestyles and Supply Chains

  • SCG Packaging (SCGP) focuses on sustainability throughout the supply chain, from using renewable eucalyptus resources to employing AI for efficient manufacturing.
  • SCG Chemicals (SCGC) develops eco-friendly plastics under the SCGC GREEN POLYMERTM brand, expanding recycled plastic production in Europe and partnering with global firms to innovate in bioplastics and carbon-negative polymers.

Supporting Industrial Low-Carbon Transition

  • SCG Cleanergy accelerates industrial adoption of clean energy with solutions like Smart Grid platforms and heat storage systems.
  • SCG JWD Logistics integrates green logistics technologies, such as electric vehicles and solar-powered warehouses, to reduce emissions and enhance efficiency.

Achievements and Goals

Currently, green innovations account for 53% of SCG’s sales, with a target of 67% by 2030. “SCG’s success in green innovations stems from the power of its people.
