SCG Acoustic Expert Hosts “Acoustic Harmony” Seminar to Emphasize the Role of Sound in Well-being Buildings, Showcasing Global Expertise and Innovations

Recently, SCG Acoustic Expert, a division of SCG Living and Housing Solution Co., Ltd., organized a seminar titled “Acoustic Harmony in the Era of Well-being Buildings: Enhancing Life Through Acoustic Design with SCG Innovations” at Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok, a LEED Silver-certified green building.

The event welcomed over 30 distinguished participants, including real estate developers and large-scale project owners, who play a key role in shaping the future of building design with a focus on quality of life and sustainability. The seminar aimed to raise awareness about sound as a critical component of architectural design in the well-being era—highlighting its direct impact on physical and mental health, user experience, and the long-term brand image of buildings and organizations.

Mr. Dayin Kiatkwankul, Smart System Business Director at SCG Living and Housing Solution Co., Ltd., stated:

“At SCG, we believe that sound management goes beyond silence. It is about enhancing the overall experience of occupants and users within buildings. We see acoustic design as a long-term investment that delivers returns in various dimensions—health, productivity, and brand perception. SCG is ready to be a trusted partner, offering comprehensive acoustic design services from site survey, design, and installation to performance evaluation, ensuring results that truly meet expectations.”

A highlight of the seminar was a special keynote by Dr. Hui Kar-Hoou, Technical Specialist Service Leader from ARUP, a global leader in acoustic consulting. He shared international trends and insights on the importance of acoustics in well-being buildings:

“Acoustic excellence is more than just silence. It is about shaping spaces that foster comfort, boost productivity, and enhance overall well-being. By prioritizing acoustics in our building designs, we create environments where both individuals and communities can truly flourish”

Adding a developer’s perspective, Mr. Serbpong Kaittivisanchai, Deputy Managing Director of Siam Sindhorn Co., Ltd., shared his experience from the development of Sindhorn Village—a project that prioritized acoustics from the earliest stages:

“We didn’t start with profits in mind. We began with the understanding that giving more results in receiving more in the long run. Thoughtful design that considers behavior and user comfort is the heart of sustainability. Sound is not just about silence—it’s about achieving the right balance. Sometimes, the best room is not the quietest one, but the one with just the right level of ambient sound that makes people feel at ease, often without realizing it. That’s the ‘Growth & Balance’ we continuously seek as developers.”

In addition to academic insights and real-world case studies, the seminar also featured acoustic solutions from SCG Acoustic Expert, offering professional consultation and design services aligned with the principles of Green and Well-being Buildings.

This event reflects SCG’s commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation in acoustics as an integral part of future building standards, while continuing to support developers and property owners in creating better spaces for people and the environment.
