2024 Highlight: SCGD Expands in ASEAN Market, Continues Growth Towards 2030 Double Revenue Target

After more than a year since listing on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, throughout 2024, SCGD has continued its mission to be the leading surface materials and sanitary ware provider in the ASEAN region. Despite facing challenges from economic conditions and natural disasters this year, the company remained committed to its operational strategy, preparing for exponential growth when market conditions improve. The company maintained consistent profitability with significant growth in 6 key areas:

Cost Control to Maintain Profitability

The company accelerated investment in cost reduction projects through alternative fuels and renewable energy, resulting in approximately 19% biomass energy and 10% solar energy usage in total production. They aim to increase these energy sources to 46% and 15% respectively by 2030.

Increase in High-Value Products Including Tile Production Line Improvements

The company launched new products meeting customer needs for better living, such as X-Strong GEOLUXE porcelain tiles with high load-bearing capacity, Paws & Play surface materials reducing pet joint problems and scratch resistance, and Smart toilets. SCGD also improved GEOLUXE porcelain tile production lines in Thailand and Vietnam, and launched SPC LT by COTTO surface materials in Thailand, offering easy installation and durability.

Sanitary Ware Business Growth in ASEAN

The company expanded its sanitary ware dealer network to over 170 dealers across ASEAN this year, renovating showrooms to align with all product brand levels, resulting in significant export sales growth of over 500 million baht to ASEAN.

Distribution Channel Expansion in ASEAN

SCGD expanded distribution channels, opening COTTO LiFE flagship showroom in Don Mueang, Thailand, adding 4 CTM stores in the Philippines, and launching first company stores in Vietnam (V-Ceramic) and Cambodia (OK Tiles Outlet).

Brand Recognition in Thailand and Abroad

SCGD received numerous awards including “2024 THAILAND’S MOST ADMIRED BRAND” (13th consecutive year), “Marketeer Number 1 Brand Thailand,” awards for ECO-SHIZZO tiles, and regional recognition like “ASIA’s Top Influential Brands Awards 2023” and “Asia Excellent Brand Awards 2024” in Vietnam.

Progress Towards Sustainable Stock Status

In December, SCGD was selected for SET ESG Ratings Level A in the Property and Construction sector and included in the SETESG Index for 2024, reflecting sustainable growth and good investor returns while considering stakeholder and environmental responsibilities.
