Mr. Dusit Chairat, Head of Smart System Solution Business at SCG Cement and Building Materials, and Mr. Sorawit Angsuwrangsi, Senior Sustainability Consultant at SCG Building and Living Care Consulting, participated in the ceremony to present the “LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)” green building certification plaque to RASA Ventures Limited, the developer of Grade A office buildings. The RASA TWO building, led by Mr. Rapi Pinijchob, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Ms. Wikanya Asawanitchya, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO), successfully achieved the latest LEED version 4.1 O+M Platinum certification, which focuses on building management, maintenance, and performance optimization. SCG Building and Living Care Consulting served as the consulting firm for this certification process.
RASA TWO is a Grade A office building for lease located in Bangkok’s Asoke-Phetchaburi business district. The building features over 45,000 square meters of usable space and houses leading renowned companies as tenants, reflecting the building’s credibility and popularity. The LEED certification aligns with the building’s goals to emphasize resource efficiency and occupant well-being, following the concept of “A New Horizon for Future Workspace.”
SCG Building and Living Care Consulting Limited, as a consulting firm specializing in sustainable and wellness-focused building design, analyzed performance data and helped develop appropriate measures to maximize project effectiveness. RASA TWO demonstrates excellence in LEED standards through the following key features:
- Energy consumption reduction of 50% compared to typical office buildings, equivalent to approximately 6,500 megawatt-hours per year, while reducing carbon dioxide equivalent emissions by 2,650 tons annually, which equals planting over 120,000 trees.
- Indoor air quality management prioritizes occupant health through external air filtration systems to reduce pollution and lower indoor CO2 concentrations, promoting good air quality and enhancing the health and well-being of all building users.
- Waste material management employs systematic approaches with measures for material reuse and recycling to optimize resource utilization, successfully reducing waste generation by 1,400 tons per year.
- Transportation benefits from the project’s strategic location near public transportation systems including subway, water transport, and public buses, helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions from commuting by 360 tons annually.
- Water conservation through high-efficiency sanitary equipment and water recycling systems achieves maximum water usage reduction of 15% per year.
