SCG HOME Experience, in collaboration with Paramount Bed, a leading Japanese electric bed manufacturer, hosted the “Senior Care Living: Adapting Homes for Independent Living” event from April 5 to May 5, 2025, at the SCG HOME Experience branch on the Ekamai-Ramindra Expressway. The event aimed to promote appropriate living concepts for the elderly and present sustainable design approaches that enhance quality of life.
Key highlights of the event included a seminar titled “Understanding Sleep Problems and Solutions” on April 19, 2025, featuring Dr. Thaninthorn Sonthirak, Director of the HUR Medical Exercise Center, alongside experts from Rehappyclinic. They provided insights on age-appropriate exercise and proper home healthcare management.
This was followed by a discussion on “Universal Design – Thoughtfully Designed Homes” on April 26, 2025, led by Professor Supawan Aothongthip, Design Director & Founder of MOMstudio and a specialist in Universal Design. She shared concepts for designing homes and condominiums suitable for long-term living according to the Aging in Place approach.
Throughout the event, participants experienced various wellness activities, including:
- Home Doctor Clinic offering home improvement consultations with SCG HOME Experience architects
- Sleep pressure testing using Japanese sensor technology
- Physical measurements for personalized pillow selection
- Access to the Care Living Solution zone featuring products and services tailored for age-appropriate living
