SCG Cement and Green Solutions is expanding its low-carbon cement (SCG Low Carbon Super Cement) production base in southern Vietnam, reaching 6,000 – 8,000 tons per day. This expansion aims to boost exports to global markets, including the United States, Canada, and Australia, reflecting SCG’s commitment to driving low-carbon cement production under the Inclusive Green Growth approach.
Mr. Wichet Chuchua, Chief Operating Officer of Siam Cement (Thungsong) Company, stated, “SCG is committed to developing new innovations, especially green innovations, to elevate the construction industry in the region and worldwide. Through investments in modern technology, we hope that the expansion of low-carbon cement production will drive sustainable construction in Vietnam and global markets.”
SCG welcomed over 100 distributors, local government representatives, and media personnel to visit the Nhơn Trạch factory in southern Vietnam. The production is managed under strict Exclusive OEM control to ensure consistent quality, meeting international standards such as ASTM (American) and BSEN (European), demonstrating SCG’s dedication to producing high-quality cement that meets global market demands.
The low-carbon cement has been well-received by customers who prioritize environmentally friendly construction materials. With its distinctive properties of reducing carbon dioxide emissions, contributing to the Net Zero 2050 goal, and offering strength, durability, and smooth surfaces that meet international standards, SCG has established itself as a leader in environmentally friendly construction materials.
Beyond creating business growth and expanding production capacity to support the growth of green construction industries in Vietnam and international markets, this production expansion marks another significant step showcasing SCG’s leadership as a construction material manufacturer focused on green innovation, promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly development in line with the Inclusive Green Growth approach.
